It also provides management with a reference document that ensures proper inter-departmental processes are in place and followed throughout the corporation. The following are typical samples of documents that were prepared primarily for distribution via printed hard copy. 1. Application Deployment Process This procedure was prepared for a major US company and served as directions for deploying applications nationally via the company's client-server network. Requesting A Server This procedure, prepared for the same US company as number one above, provides specific steps for acquiring and implementing a server in the data center. GL Reports Design Document This procedure, prepared for a major waste management facility, provides detailed technical specifications for reports that are derived from the General Ledger system. The assignment was to provide a technical overview of the order entry system, which included three levels of explanations: A. users, B. management, and C. technical personnel.
